No. Scans are counted on your account, so reinstalling or switching phones doesn't reset them, and you don't lose any.
Yes. Your contacts, cards and notes are saved to your account, not your phone. Install Scaname from Google Play and sign in the same way you did before (email, Google or Apple), and everything will be there.
Make sure you're signed in to the same Scaname account, then go to Settings and tap Restore Purchases. Purchases are tied to the Google account you paid with.
Within 48 hours of buying, you can request a refund through Google Play, and it's usually automatic. After that, refunds go through Google Play's standard process. Our Terms of Service have the details.
Go to Settings, then Your data, then Export all contacts (CSV). It's free, with no unlock needed. You can also share any single contact as a contact file.
Mostly. You can browse your contacts and your card without a connection, and changes sync when you're back online. Scanning needs a connection, because the AI reads the card.
On My Card, tap Share to send a link, or let someone scan your QR code. They don't need the app to see it. You can also download it as a contact file (.vcf).
Yes. Free accounts can keep 2 cards (for example Work and Personal), and Scaname Pro raises that to 50. Tap "+ New card" on My Card.
Go to My Card, tap Edit details, then Card design. The standard designs are free; the 12 premium designs come with Scaname Pro. Contacts you've scanned can have their own design too: open the contact and tap Card design.
In Settings, App language changes the app's screens, and Card scanning languages tells the AI which languages to expect on the cards you scan.
On the sign-in screen, tap "Forgot password?" and we'll email you a link to set a new one. If you signed up with Google or Apple, you don't have a Scaname password. Just use the same button again.
Go to the bottom of Settings and tap Delete account. This permanently removes your contacts, cards and voice notes, and can't be undone. Export your contacts first if you want to keep them.
Open the gift email on your phone and tap Redeem your gift, or install Scaname from Google Play, create an account, then go to Settings → Have a code? and enter the code from the email. Each code works once.
A purchase unlocks the Scaname account that made it. Sign in to that account to use it there. To unlock this account too, buy with a different Google account or redeem a gift code.
Yes. Point the Scan camera (or batch mode) at a contact QR code, such as another Scaname user's card or most digital-card apps, and the contact fills in instantly. Reading a QR code doesn't use a scan.
The AI wasn't sure it read that field right (glare, tiny print, or a 0 that could be an O). Tap the field to fix it or confirm it. If you save without checking, the contact shows under "Needs a look" in your Library until you do.
Open the contact and tap Edit details. You can change any field, add phone numbers, and update notes and tags.
After scanning the front, tap Add back side and capture the back. Extra numbers and handwriting are added to the same contact. The back is free right after the front.
Yes. In Settings, App color has Rust (free) and five more colors that come with Scaname Pro.
With Scaname Pro, start an event from the Library (for example, a trade show). Every card you save while it's running is tagged with the event, and you can export that event's leads to a spreadsheet in one tap.
